VICTORY???

Well it has been one month since Senator Obama became President Elect. It was a great victory for America. The one thing is for certain there will be change, it will be positive and if it does not work God help us! On the State level what did we win? Yes we got an Electoral vote for Obama, it makes me grin and some times chuckle to think of the Right wing kooks out there trying to figure out how they lost Omaha. My neighbor who bases most of his votes on what side the candidates are on gay marriage told me the other day that Omaha is not "REAL" Nebraska. I said to him quoting Sara Palin only make you dumber. He had no clue what I was talking about. But I am off my topic. Our victory is shallow. We still are a GOP state. How did Dr. Kleeb a good, smart, honest man loose? Why did the people who voted for Obama not vote for him? Looking over the voting stats, it looks like they voted for President and then left. What the !@#$ is that all about? We should not be back slapping ourselfs too hard. In two years we have major problems. 1. Who will we run for Governor? How about Congress? Out here in the Third District we have the worst Congressman in the Congress, even Republicans say this. So how did Smith get 70%+ of the vote? I say we need to get orgainized now. After the Holidays we need a 3CDO meeting. Everyone needs to be there. We need a spirited debate on what needs to be done. The old ways are not working. We need to make changes NOW! We can't wait! Then we must have follow up meetings through the district every two or three months. We need a blueprint and must adjust it when something does not work. Don't worry about credit or blame. Do like FDR did in the 30's keep trying until something does work. Do like Obama is doing now, get all rivals on the same page. We can Change our District and our State, look at some GOP states like Ohio,Florida, etc. If they can we do it we can also. But sitting on our one electoral vote victory(Omaha) and never getting ready for the next election, meeting just at State Conventions and telling ourselfs how smart we are will not cut it. I used to Coach and teams that fail to prepare NEVER WIN! I am tired of losing how about YOU!!
