America - don't be a bully!

I woke up today has I have for the last three weeks wondering if my oldest dog Shadow would still be alive . He has a bad back that he was born with; t is a disc disease that finally struck and the meds are not controlling it. I never realized how tough dogs are until I saw this little eight year old ten pound dog fight for his life.

Anyway, I was thinking about the Iraq war today - about the waste of blood and treasure - how America a country I love, like all of you, is suffering. I watched this video about the last days of World War II last night and was struck by how the military of Japan and Bush & Co. are so much alike. They both believed they were right and every one else was wrong. So our current leaders are like the fascists of Japan in the 40's. That is so sad.

The Japanese bombed us at Pearl Harbor and started a war. 20 years later JFK and RFK were being pushed to pre-strike on Cuba and start a war. They said no. They felt in the meetings during the Cuban Missile Crisis they knew how Tojo and other Japanese war leaders felt before Pearl Harbor. They were not going to be the first American leaders to start a war. NO! They left that gruesome detail to G. W. Bush & Co..

We, the Americans of today, are the first Americans to ever start a war. Remember when your Dad told you never start a fight, but if pushed into it WIN!. Well we got pushed into a fight with the Taliban, but we never finished it and won. Instead we violated every code we are taught We . . . AMERICA . . . the greatest country on this earth started a war.

Yes, I am guilty, all of us are guilty, maybe not has much as Bush and Cheney, but we are in the boat somewhere. We are just like the Japanese in the 40's. Well I am paddling to the shore of peace. I will do what it takes to get democrats elected and to stop this awful war. I owe it to my kids. So when I tell them to never start a fight but if pushed into one you must win. I want them to understand what that is about. Don't be a bully. Don't be a President Bush.
